Since AP x is configured as G-only mode. It is transmitting 1,2,5.5,11,6,12,24 as basic bss rate and 9,18,36,54 as non basic bss rate. So if we look at these rate then 24 Mbps is the highest basic bss rate supported by the AP x.
As multicast and broadcast data are transmitted at highest possible basic bss rate. So in this scenario AP x will initiate all multicast traffic at 24 Mbps which is a ofdm rate and not visible to non-ERP devices.
In above situation my clarification is that :
If protection is enable due to neighbor bss in AP x's BSS then should AP x will transmit cts-to-self prior to transmitting multicast at 24 Mbps ofdm rate???
Thanks
