The CPNAE is an individual who can use Python for network automation and engineering tasks. The individual can create Python scripts that interact with and manage network routers, switches, access points, and other network devices. The ability to work with libraries designed for network automation and data structures commonly used is essential. The CPNAE can modify existing scripts, plan entire automation scripting projects, and create the necessary scripts to deploy automation projects.
While the CPNAE may not be a full-time programmer, the individual has sufficient knowledge of programming methodologies, requirements engineering, and systems concepts to effectively create and implement network-related Python scripts. The CPNAE elearning course provides the knowledge required to write Python scripts, edit existing scripts, and plan automation projects. It includes more than 8 hours of learning materials, a practice test, and the certification exam that validates your skills as a CPNAE.
The CPNAE is a low-stakes certification, meaning that the certification exam is taken in the web browser within our LMS (learning management system). There are time constraints on the exam, which limits the ability to locate information during the exam and ensure exam credibility. The exam consists of 40 questions and, given that several questions will include example code on which the question is based, you are given 100 minutes to take the exam. A score of 70% or greater is a passing score and earns you the CPNAE certification.
