    I have come across a parameter that can be set on the wireless card built-into my HP notebook (Intel/PRO Wireless 3945ABG), that enables QoS/WMM for ad-hoc networks. Does anyone know more about this option?

    Qos is for prioritizing data (quality of service). Why something like this exists for ad-hoc networks is beyond me... I'm guessing checking the documentation if it came with any may help.
