Does anyone know if 802.11b devices will operate on a 802.11n infrstructure. Namely Spectralink and Cisco IP phones.
Thanks,

Hi darth802,
Currently (I could be wrong) there are no full standard 802.11n access points in the enterprise. However BlueSocket, has the BSAP-1700 that is MIMO capable that may support the wireless handsets with 802.11e (QoS support) and I believe Spectralinks SVP through use of the controllers.
However, as far as I know, the wireless handsets are not using the MIMO antennas yet, so the compatability issues are not clear cut.

Hi,
I just want to know if the 802.11n standard will allow for backward compatability for 802.11b devices.

Yes, it is supposed to support legacy standards of 802.11b/g.
