  • On the gigabit uplink thing....I have some input on that one.

    Most of today's APs have dual radios - many have dual a/g radios instead of just a single A and single G. I don't know if that trend will continue with 802.11n, but I'm guessing it will - meaning each AP (thick or thin) will have two radios capable of being set to any 2.4 or 5 GHz channel. That's about 300 Mbps of throughput from a single AP. If the plan is to replace the wired edge completely - and I think many companies will opt to do that over time - then 802.11n APs will be more and more saturated over a short period of time.
