Hello everybody,
During the DTIM period the AP announces that multicast/broadcast traffic is available by setting the AID to 0. If there are any unicast packets buffered for a particular station (right before the DTIM period) does/can the AP set the corresponding AID?¡é?€??s or are buffered unicast packets announced only during TIM and not the DTIM.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Hi Essem:
All TIMs, including the special DTIMs, can announce unicast frames buffered for dozing stations. Only DTIMs announce buffered multicast frames.
I hope this helps. Thanks. /criss -
Hey Criss_Hyde,
Thank you for the response.
Regards,
Essem
