I would like another person's understanding of the last paragraph dealing with fragmentation and TKIP. It is, to me, ambiguous. Please respond. (((((CTS)))))).Thanx.

I think he is referring to the use of fragmentation when instituting TKIP~MIC. My understanding is that the author on this page 78,is trying to give us the breakdown of TKIP~MIC when frames are fragmented and when they are unfragmented. It specifies that fragmented MPDUs are 12 octets in length opposed to 20 octets in length for the unfragmented MPDUs. He goes on to say that the 8 extra are only used once for series as though it was part of the original "raw" MSDU.

My only assumption is that it what one would see in a analyzer?
