I have activated wpa-psk, mac filtering, disabled SSID broadcast, and all is well. Channel 11 is the best one for this noisy environment. thanks again.

Make SURE to use a WPA-PSK passphrase of at least 20 characters in length, and it should be something that isn't in a dictionary file (a randomly generated sequence of upper & lower case letters, numbers, and special characters). Anything shorter than this is too weak. We use coWPAtty - a windows application - to break WPA-PSK in our CWSP course.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did not know that about WPA-PSK. I searched the web for a windows version of coWPAtty, but could not find it. Can you point me in the right direction?
