WEP encryption

I was just wondering since WEP is only used for wireless security then does that mean when the wireless network connects into a wired network that the WEP encryption also ends there?

This is confusing me because it is called Wired Equivalent Privacy. But once it hits the wired portion of a network, it no longer offers encryption?

Success Stories
