Thanks for the link and reminder about Maxwell. We *do* need to study more.

I like your analysis. Many times the practical fixes (we'll just call them Whiskey Tango solutions to be nice) might work, but to actually understand the *why* behind it might be a better long-term solution.

i am on page 17 now (Bardwell's paper) and am really digging in deep. i'm feeling smarter and smarter by the minute! i'm doing a change right now upgrading s/w code for controllers and am realizing how important it is for me to read this while i am "simply upgrading" these devices which manage and do so much for the WLAN environment.
