Adaptive Frequency Hopping

You are correct in thinking the fact that it will provide some interference with the existing .11g network.
However, from what I gathered, the technology in AFHSS along with any other 802.15 WPAN, enables the device to work with the existing 802.11 network with little interference since AFH is effective in sending the data on frequencies that are not causing interference during that transmission. We are talking about 1600 hops per second on 79 different channels (US at least), and the ability to dynamically adjust those hops should the device detect interference.
Like having several Bluetooth v1.2 keyboards and mice on several laptops accessing the same AP. Interference will be minimal and most likely, depending and the amount of devices, will be un-noticable.
Thats how I view it at least. Please, by all means, some one correct me if I am wrong.
