You can also try adjusting the beacon-period from 100 milliseconds to 1 second so that you have less management traffic and more data. http://wireless-nets.blogspot.com/2008/07/beacon-interval-impacts-on-battery-life.html You can also try to remove the top transmit rates like 54 and 48, because with all that congestion, clients transmitting at those rates will probably generate a collision, where they would have to back down and transmit at 36 or 24, anyway.

According to Devin, Aruba copies Meru's features (http://www.cwnp.com/community/articles/aruba_copies_meru_you_decide.html), so maybe you can tell us if they work.
