What does this mean to you.

    Hi all,

    I am just getting really into wireless having dabled in it for years with smaller implementations. Recently I have completed Airmagnet training and I am working towards certifications though the CWNP program.

    My question is if in a contract you have the following what would this mean to you? For the type of survey your client requires.

    "Actual Thoughput Measurement"

    1. Passive Survey
    2. Active Survey
    3. IPERF Survey

    I think it would mean an 3. IPERF survey, as to measure thoughput you need to send and receive data over the wireless. Am I wrong?

    I would agree with you. Actual throughput will require data using IPERF or some other tool to measure the true throughput.
