Is there a way in a wireless capture to see if my radio is contending for the RF band?
The issue is that I have 40% retries and my data is slow. The network is a couple square miles and I am running video. My SNR is fine and I really do not see many of the other networks in the area using much on my channel. One thing I am noticing on my wireless capture is the duration value on some of the packets is real high (10,000-40,000).
Is there a way to look at duration values to see if contention or backing off because contention is a issue?
There are some packets marked "802.11 CFE", these packets do not have a source or destination address. These packets are mostly reties with 58218 in most of there duration value.
Thanks.
