Thanks for the clear explanation.

I've been having this fight with some "RF Engineers" in my company. I'm the field guy who wrote the implimentation manual.

I specified to turn down the AP's to match the client cards. The folks in the home office want me to turn up the AP's to increase the range, even though 99% of our traffic goes from client to AP, all UDP.

After many months of arguing with the "experts", I've been beginning to doubt myself. It's hard for a guy with years of experience and no degree to argue for long with multiple degreed engineers.

Your discription follows my logic exactly. It may not have been your intention, but you made my day.
