how is it that the client see the big bubble (same frequency blanket) as a separate collision domain?
The AP can see it as a separate collision domain because of the intelligence in the switch but the client is a standard client. Before it can transmit it will perform a CCA as per CSMA/CA and it will determine that another client is transmitting.
I guess my real question is how the client can see separate collision domain? I have always thought that
different frequencies -> different collision domain
