I agree with you. The link would have a lot of issues and it would hardly work. But that does not answer my question. What I think is that the fade margin is 20db, which is enough for any link to work without problems, but because SNR is only 10db there would be problems. What if the signal level is -40dbm ? In this case the fade margin would be 40db and SNR 30db. In theory it should work. What do you think ? I have read many times that 20db SNR is enough.
