DESCRIPTION

Mid-level - Experienced Wireless Network Engineer/Consultant positions are available for candidates with expertise in wireless networking to perform site surveys and wireless access point installations. The preferred location for these positions is in Los Angeles. I will also consider candidates that reside in other parts of Southern California, Las Vegas, Denver, or Phoenix.

Implement 802.11 wireless networks for multiple vendor solutions. Client is looking for a wireless resource with 802.11 Wireless Networking experience. Candidate should have knowledge and be able to troubleshoot from the desktop to the wireless network. Layer 1, 2, and 3. Wired networking experience required. Experience working with Cisco layer 3 equipment.

* Good written and oral communication
* Hands-on experience with 802.11 implementations

Positions range from contract to full time.

REQUIREMENTS
Skills:

* Knowledge of IEEE 802.11 wireless standards.
* Familiarity with wireless security and authentication mechanisms (802.1x, WPA, EAP protocols).
* Linux OS knowledge a plus.
* CWNA - Certified Wireless Network Administrator a plus.
* Good written and oral communication
* Hands-on experience with 802.11 implementations
* Experience deploying Aruba, Cisco Airespace, AirMagnet, AirDefense a plus

Sound knowledge of Internet protocols TCP/IP, PPP, L2TP, IPSEC, and Wireless LAN protocols such as 802.11 , 802.1x, and EAP are a plus

Willing to train candidates if they have consulting or telecommunications background.
