Software SA (spectum analyzer) is an oxy-moron.

You need specialized hardware not just software since your typical 802.11 hardware won't give non802.11 info. expected by a SA.

I actually read the original post too quickly the first time. OmniPeek is an 802.11 packet capture program, not spectrum analyzer.

However, there are laptop based spectrum analyzers that will do a good job for what a high end wireless administrator will need.

It's "specious", not an oxymoron.
