I'm wanting to avoid needing 4 devices.
I was hopeing to find that maybe someone has made a bridge device that was defined to be a hop in the link.
As in, its function was really to connect two bridges together.
Perhaps a device that was like a "bridge cross-connected to another bridge"-in-one. It seems like it would be a concept that many people could use for bridging, so I would have thought that someone would make something like that. I guess I'm just "thinking" too much.
I know it is frowned upon to use repeaters, but could a repeater work as the middle man of a bridge? I understand that a repeater just rebroadcasts to traffic so I would think that it would work in a birdge-scenario.
