I have a question about the order of authentication, authorization and when DHCP is requested and given.

We have Cisco 12xx WAPs. We are running LEAP and PEAP on mixed clients, mostly Dell laptops. We are finding that they are not getting DHCP when on LEAP, but when they disconnect or switch from the Dell Client utility to the Windows utility they are able to get DHCP. At what point in the authentication and authorization is DHCP given out? We are suspecting a timeout between our Radius and AD boxes might be the culprit...
