    Hi Gurus,

    Will 802.11a Wireless Client devices[PCI and PCMCIA cards] have capabilities to scan /work in all the three Bands.

    Lower Band [5.15-5.25]
    Middle Band [5.25-5.35]
    Upper Band [5.725 -5.825]

    Please educate.

    Usually they're able to work in at least the U-NII-1 and U-NII-2 bands, and are sometimes able to scan all three.

    Also be aware that some cards may be able to scan in the new (FCC approved) UNII band. However, this is outside the scope of 802.11a.
