Just want to say I find this debate interesting. It seems to me that it is a clash of the practical vs. theoretical applications of Wi-Fi/Security issues. There is obviously no right answer. It depends on the application.

I personnaly appreciate this flexibility available in Wi-Fi networks, and I believe that smart vendors will continue to promote and expand flexibility in the end-user environment. After all, it is the end user that will be making decisions and purchasing the equipment that they feel they need for their application.
