Laptop for Site Survey

    What is a good lightweight portable notebook for site surveying?

    I have a notebook but the battery life is way below par- an C3500,Averatec's I strongly advise against using those laptops.

    1 hour is all you get and it gets worse over time.

    I've had it about six months now. Time for a change!

    I use an HP Tablet ... very light and the battery life far exceeds any standard laptop that I've used. Just one tip though ... the tablet PC has integral 802.11a/b/g and you could get misleading results as the internal antenna is quite efficient. Better to turn off the integral wireless and plug in a regular card for survey work.
