I am trying to figure out if possible how to guage the amount of client devices overall that an AP can handle .. in this case my example is the Rukus R550. Specs say "supports four spatial streams 2x2:2 in 2.4GHz/5GHz, peak data rates of (up to) 1774 Mbps , Manages up to 512 clients . So for planning purposes I am curious how you plan for capacity with something like this. Obviously until some actual traffic captures this would be just approximation but would like to here how you pros plan something along these lines.
