Hi,

In the 5GHz band, is it required for a station to default to passive scan especially on the mid band, where there is a chance of radar detection? I would like to know this information in the context of regulatory domains like FCC, ETSI and TELEC/Japan. Can anybody help me out with this?

Also, I would be really thankful is somebody could post a link or information regarding the set of valid channels and maximum transmit power corresponding to regulatory domains like FCC, ETSI(Europe) & TELEC(Japan)for 2.4 & 5GHz bands.

There are several locations (which I unfortunately don't have copied here at home),

BUT you can always try Cisco - They almost always have the latest local requirements written down somewhere.

Last time I looked, the only really stupid ones were in France.

Success Stories
