Hii Everbody
I have a doubt , if a client is using power save bit flipping then when will it wake up (power save bit 0 ) .
will it wake at random time ? or It will wake up at DTIM interval ? or per listen interval ? -

Thanks for the reply Devin
Actually I have also seen Atheros chipset using bit flipping that too at random times.
So this random time must be less then Listen interval of the client. But the client should also wake up on DTIM interval, so if that random times doesnt matches with DTIM , station will lose its MC/BC frames.
so how are they are avoiding this loss ? -
Client devices should awaken just before the DTIM beacon. Most of that bit-flipping behavior is due to off-channel scanning rather than using the bit-flipping mechanism as a method of controlling queueing and downstream frame flow.
