Dear friends I am having problem with client connection.
Scenario : I am having a/b/g AP and a/b/g client .
My AP is working with a/g/b radio on and my client connects well (suppose on G radio ) and if Now I make my AP to work in "a" radio only then my client will keep searching for the SSID , but if I plug out and plug in the card again it connects well.
Can u plz tell why it requires the card to be plugged in again.
Thanks in advance -
Roaming, which is what you are forcing to happen by changing the PHY, is done in a proprietary manner. The probing on ERP-OFDM (802.11g) vs.OFDM (802.11a) could be a vendor specific issue. Rather than removing and reinserting the card, have you tried rescanning for available networks?
