I don't think this is what you're looking for - but, wanted to be sure it was in your list. If you disable all speeds lower than 12 (prohibit 6 ofdm) - the cisco will misbehave as well, and never go into protection. Albeit, obviously no b's can associate anymore. - as far as I know - that's as close as you can get to forcing the Cisco to break with that part of the standard.
