I have had some Pearson proctored exams present slowly - noticeably slower than other exams at other locations.

Never enough to fail an exam, but definitely slow. I never enquired (because I passed) as to why, but I have been told they download the exams to the local site the day before. I don't know if that is true, or if it's still true.

Some of those same sites were heavy into training. Maybe their networks were busy doing other things beside giving exams.
