Fragmentation

i am a little confused, pls help:

when the frame is fragmented --> will the possiblity of collision increase or decrese?
accord to 2e it will decrese and 3e of official study it will increase.

it was also explained in a CWNA nuggett: fragmentation large packets, but only disadv is it causes large overheards..
