  • Not aware of any myself. One of the most useful features of enterprise-class APs is the PoE capability. Obviously with fiber, you would need a local power source which can be limiting.

    Do you need to overcome the 100m copper limit? Perhaps you could use media converters to go from copper to multi-mode fiber, and back to copper at the AP. This will require a local power source for the media converter and AP however.

    A Fiber Distributed Antenna System (FDAS) would be another method of distributing RF signals around a campus over fiber, but will again require a local power source at the remote units. I believe these require single-mode fiber, with reach up to 20km, and are used in large deployments such as airports. I don't know how much these things cost, but my guess is a lot!
