    Moe, sorry for my delay. Should move this to the Vendor specific forum?

    1- The WIPS is spoofing the AP and transmitting deauth frames with the client as the recipient.

    2- The client cards are form the 2 Dells are the same, Broadcom. The Averatec is Ralink RT2500.

    I understand your AP to AP point for Management Protection Frames and respect that. There might be beta products out there already .. who knows?

    Another conspiracy theory :) to this is.... the new V5 and V6 Linksys WRT54Gs, that are now using VXworks, opposed to the old LINUX-crackable firmware, has an imbedded firewall/ACL that denies the "deauth" to securely authenticated clients and is looking at this as DOS attack on the AP and the "protected clients" ? REASON CODE: RESERVED? :)

    Makes for some interesting discussion.
