Many vendors are stepping up and saying that they could have fixed the problem. Standard implementations of enterprise gear would not have fixed this. Not Aerohive, Aruba, Cisco, HP, Ruckus, Meraki, Moto, Meru (maybe, see previous post) or Xirrus (maybe, see previous post).
Even people within Ruckus wanted to use this to say that we could have fixed it, but I stopped them as best I could. When there is an open area where every blogger brought their own AP that was moving data there is no way to make the situation work. A channel can only hold so much data, no matter what you do.
I outlined a possible solution in an earlier post that had nothing to do with enterprise class gear. It would have worked and would have cost less than $150.
