Hi,
In 802.11k, how to measure noise is specified. It says to measure the channel when NAV is zero (IPI - Idle power indication). Is my understanding correct ?
Can somebody explain how noise is measured ?
Does the atheros chipset has capability to distinguish between dot11 and non-dot11 signals?
Can we identify noise without the support of firmware ?
If we receive a signal which is neither CCK or OFDM modulation, Can we term that as noise ?
With regards,
Murali
