    Regarding the state machine problem.I want to share some findings.

    D-Link AP was exactly doing what u said in your previous posts.

    But cisco has a difference.....................

    1) In associated state if we send authentication request it would send response but would remain in associated state.

    2) In associated state if we receive association request it would send response and remain in associated state.

    3) In associated state if we receive invalid /unsuccessful auth request (Algo no: 3) it would not send anything but remove station info.

    4) In associated state if we receive invalid/unsuccessul assoc request it would
    response and then de-authentication

    5) In associated state if we receive association request with changed values (supported rates) it would send response with changed values but station database is not updated and remains associated.

    Can you comment on above findings........
