What is the 802.11 equivalent of, say, a SmartBit?
When I had to test throughputs of firewalls, I'd just hook that up and blast a tons of traffic through them.
With 802.11, what is the equivalent? That is, say I want to test # of MAC addresses that can associate, # of users who can authenticate, and # of sessions pushing different types of traffic. What type of setup would I need to test this so that I could possibly write a report? -
It depends what you wanna test... some vendors use Veriwave for testing, but that usually doesn't take into consideration the "wireless" part of the gear, but performance of the ap (plugging the testing directly to where the antennas should go).
Some might use Chariot for some tests too.
