How useful is 11g protection ?

    Hi,

    How useful is 11g protection which is mandatory for Wi-Fi certfication ?

    It would reduce the performance by almost 7-10 Mbps even if we use Self-CTS.It would be worse if we use RTS-CTS for protection.

    Does any vendor provide CLI for enabling and disabling protection ?

    There are numerous vendors that allow you to disable and enabling Protection Mechanisms on client card:
