Performance Testing

    I'm trying to complete some performance testing on a number of APs to establish there ability to handle a higher throughput from the Distribution System than they are able to transmit over the wireless. To make sure the tests are consistent I want to rule out any interference or inconsistency from the wireless side. I want to connect the AP directly to a client via a cable.

    Here is the question, can you directly connect two transmitter together or do you need some sort of isolation device?

    Gazza,
    You can connect the Client radio to the AP using a cable and a < 30db attenuator. Connecting them directly can saturate the radios.
