Netstumbler and cloaked SSID

Would be interested in getting input from the authors on specifics here. How is it that one SSID is discovered by NetStumbler and another is not? Fig 2.10 in book lists NetStumbler finding one hidden SSID and not being able to find the other one.

Success Stories
