    Sirkozz,

    That's great about the CIO. It's good when a jerk finally gets his due.

    But you must have missed the last version of the PCI DSS (ver 1.2).
    It says explicitly:

    " For new wireless implementations, it is prohibited to implement WEP after March 31, 2009. "

    And

    " For current wireless implementations, it is prohibited to use WEP after June 30, 2010."

    So in less than four months no one covered by PCI can be using it in their CDE, period.

    Can't get much stronger a word than PROHIBITED.
