I am interested to hear from other opinions on the various WIPS solutions that are out there. The one's that I have worked with are Aruba/Network Chemistry, Air Defense and Air Magnet. I love Air Defense due to all the bells and whistles. I know there are other solutions out there such as Air Tight. I am just interested generally in people's experiences with these products, how well they work and in particular what kind of features did they have that lead the customer (or yourself) to purchase them?
Also if anyone has done penetration testing of these products to see how well the can detect and prevent someone who knows wireless well from getting past them I would be interested to hear that as well. I myself am kind of partial to Backtrack as a toolset for testing, but am open to hearing opinions about other tools as well.

Success Stories

I literally just came out of the testing centre having taken the CWDP exam. The certification process opened my mind to different techniques and solutions. This knowledge can only broaden your perspective. Great job, CWNP, you have a great thing going on here.

I want to commend you and all at CWNP for having a great organization. You really 'raise the bar' on knowing Wi-Fi well. I have learned a ton of information that is helping my job experience and personal career goals, because of my CWAP/CWDP/CWSP studies. Kudos to all at CWNP.
