    To crack WEP: The card only has to support 11a, not the software. The only hitch is that you have to use a card that is compatible with the packet capture software that you are using. To be specific, use Aircrack with Airopeek and the Netgear WAG511 or the Linksys WPC55AG. That is just an example and is not all inclusive.

    11a cannot detect 2.4Ghz. I'm sorry if I gave you that impression.
