It was actually another document, but both links are excellent. Haven't seen the material in either before. Both contain a lot of really good stuff.

I love the detailed Cisco documentation. The problem I find is that a lot of the good design stuff is often "hidden" in other areas apart from the actual "design" sections.

Cisco also has a bad habit of "hiding" or sometimes eliminating completely documents that have obviously taken someone a great deal of time and effort to construct. Their URL's change more frequently than the weather.

A classic example is the excellent document they produced on VOIP local signalling [ E+M, loop disconnect etc ]. They have moved that thing all over the place, and made it really difficult to find.

They need to have one big massive electronic box saying "This is the good stuff. It will remain at this URL forever" and have it tied down to the Internet with a 40 pound ball and chain to make sure it doesn't go anywhere.
