Triangulation vs Trilateration

Triangulation and Trilateration are 2 different methods to locate an object. In wireless vendors are using trianglulation. But can we also use trilateration just as in GPS.

Can some one point to what is the difference and the accuracy level of using Triangulation and trilateration technology to locate Rogue APs?
