I thought this was interesting. Might work well for very large buildings. But 16 radios per access point, that's overkil1!

also found this voice over wifi product interesting. I'm doing a RFP for it right now for a hospital.
Hospitals are starting to use this more for indoor communications.
Watch the video on the site, pretty cool voice recognition also. I like it because voice communication is the defacto most efficient way to get things done. Down with text/email! :)
Definitely would require a heavy coverage of wireless. So add that wireless infrastructure cost with product cost+maintenance+training. I could see it adding up.
