I know Trapeze Networks and Aruba both have dual radio, dual POE ethernet APs (altho 10/100)
I can definately see the dual ethernet connections being needed, especially in places that under no circumstances can have down time. (Hospitals etc)
As for the power consumption...well...indoor could be a problem I suppose. Many outdoor units already have adapters to address additional power needs. (Some have up to 6 radios!)
Ultimately I suppose the cable run costs are up to each customer. Not all APs would have to be redundant links back, perhaps only locations that are consider critical to the business.
In the end, I vote it being a good thing. Better to have options you don't need, than options you need that you can't have.
