I slavishly use IEEE 802 and IETF terms in my posts.
The IEEE 802.11 standard speaks of four cipher suites (CCMP, TKIP, WEP-104, WEP-40), two encryption algorithms (AES and RC4), and zero encryption protocols.
The words "algorithm" and "protocol" are used in the IEEE 802.11 standard many times in many contexts.
The CWSPv2 study guide is the only official CWNP Program study guide produced out of house. Responsibility for listing errata appears to rest there as well. I do not speak for the management of either.
I hope this helps. Thanks. /criss
