Title: Wireless Network Engineer: 802.11
Position Type: 6-months contract (1000 work-hours) additional extensions highly probable and dependent on your overall performance reviews.
Location: Lakeland, FL
Relocation: none

Start Date: ASAP. We move very quickly filling these positions and time is of the essence. You must be able to moving quickly also.

Compensation: to be discussed during our first conversation. We will need to discuss your last 3 years salary history.

Special Conditions:
?¡é?€?¡é Preference will be given to local candidates within this area.
?¡é?€?¡é You must have DOCUMENTED prior experience in an enterprise (large company) environment.
?¡é?€?¡é You must have experience as a Lead Engineer providing support for large projects from requirements through implementation
?¡é?€?¡é You must be available to begin the project not later than 2 weeks from acceptance; preferably sooner.

Skills Required:
?¡é?€?¡é 3 years experience in design, interaction, and testing of 802.11 a/b/g WLANs
?¡é?€?¡é Understanding of WiFi and IEEE security standards
?¡é?€?¡é Proficient in the configuration and support of various CE based client devices, such as PDAs
?¡é?€?¡é Proficient in the configuration and support of Cisco 1100 and 1200 series access points
?¡é?€?¡é Proficient in the configuration and support of the Cisco Wireless LAN Solution engine
?¡é?€?¡é Proficient with TACAS and Cisco Secure ACS
?¡é?€?¡é Bachelor degree in Information Sciences or related field
?¡é?€?¡é Excellent written and verbal communication skills
?¡é?€?¡é Ability to interact with business and technical resources
?¡é?€?¡é Experience collecting requirements and developing requirements documentation

Special Qualifications:
?¡é?€?¡é Candidate must be a subject matter expert in the area of Wireless Security, this would include but not be limited to all EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol ) types, WPA2 (WiFi-Protected Access version 2).
?¡é?€?¡é Must be experienced in the design, implementation, documentation, and rollout of a secured wireless deployment.

Work Description:
?¡é?€?¡é Building step by step install procedures
?¡é?€?¡é Work with wireless installation team to carry out step by step installation procedures, troubleshoot installation, and verify correct installation
?¡é?€?¡é Create and or update PD guide & troubleshooting procedures

?¡é?€?¡é Proficient with Wavelink Mobile Manager Enterprise Edition

As a side note we have 75 consultants that work onsite at Publix day-in dayout. Most (88%) of our team receive extensions and some have been onsite here for 2+ years; about 15% are converted to full-time Publix Associates. This role will go a minimum of 1 year per the Wireless Architect that designed the environment. There are 880 stores and approximately 5000 APs to be installed---all Cisco.
