If you have less than six APs for the initial rollout, you could use a Cisco 2800 series Integrated Services Router (ISR) with the new Wireless LAN Controller module:

    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6730/index.html

This would give you full routing services plus the ability to control up to six APs. For future growth, you can add more APs by adding another Airespace controller and grouping the two controllers (an external one plus the one in the ISR) for redundancy and failover.

Once your network is setup and running with multiple VLANs as you desire, you can add in AP1010s, AP1130s, AP1230s, and/or AP1240s running LWAPP to cover your office with .11a/b/g. You can provide guest access as well using this solution. The controllers also include wireless security and rogue AP and rogue client detection. You can add-in the Wireless Control System (WCS) to manage multiple controllers as one system. The WCS brings everything together as one manageable solution with the ability to add-on location tracking and other features.

So, in summary, you could start small, using a 2006 controller and a few AP1010s. Or you could integrate it into an ISR router. As you grow your system and add more APs and controllers, you could add on the WCS for advanced features and multi-controller management. If, for some reason, you also want to move into providing outdoor mesh coverage, you can do that by adding some AP1500s and using the controllers and WCS to manage it all as one seamless indoor-to-outdoor wireless network.
